A small device is used to apply radiofrequency energy to the area being treated. This warms up the deeper layers of the skin which in turn stimulates collagen and elastin. It is a very comfortable treatment and six treatments are recommended for optimal results.
Endymed allows for two different types of radiofrequency treatments:
• EndyMed TM skin tightening (RF) Facial Skin Tightening & Lifting. A pain free treatment that tightens and lifts lax skin on the cheek, jowl and neck areas as well as around the eyes
• ENDYMED FSR uses advanced and unique radiofrequency technology, 3DEEP SkinScience, to heat deep within the skin where collagen is formed while at the same time treating the upper layers of the skin with intense heat spots so new tissue can be formed. The deep dermal heating triggers a heat response in your skin that stimulates fibroblasts to produce new collagen, which is what gives you the natural, long-lasting results in skin tightening. The intense heat spots on the surface of the skin trigger a natural wound healing response, which encourages your skin to regenerate and repair with fresh, new skin cells. This fractional process is what improves fine lines and wrinkles, texture and tone.
Is it painful?
EndyMed TM skin tightening (RF) shouldn’t be painful, the treatment feels like having a warm pressure against the skin. Fractional Skin Resurfacing FSR requires topical anaesthetic applied 30 minutes prior to treatment post treatment patients describe their skin as feeling hot like sunburn, this wears off over a matter of hours
Recovery Time
The skin tightening head will not result in any down time. FSR has will result in redness, swelling and tiny micro crustations that can be covered with make up after 24 hours. Any side effects are usually fully resolved within a week.
Results
Post skin tightening treatment there will be an initial short lived lifting of the tissues. Full results will not be seen until around 3 months after the final treatment.
FSR may give some improvement following first treatment however full results will be seen around 3 months following your course of treatment.
For the best results a course of treatments is recommended.
Maintenance
Providing you stay on top of your treatments, maintenance will be a single treatment rather than a full course. The interval that you will require a maintenance will vary depending on many factors for example age, general health and skin health
